Business Analyst (Object-Oriented Analysis/Design)
Location: Chicagoland Area
Description: RiverPoint is looking for a senior Business Analyst with 5+ years of business systems analysis experience including project methodology and life cycles. Candidates must have strong written/verbal communication skills, solid analytic skills and the ability to define business process change. Must be process-oriented and have strong organizational skills. Working knowledge of object-oriented methodologies is required.
Required Skills:
- Lead requirement analysis efforts
- Act as primary liaison between customer and IT project team
- Identify and communicate project risks and recommend solutions
- Review/analyze a business environment and work with customer to identify improvements
- Manage client expectations and scope
- Elicit, document and manage business requirements and rules
- Write use cases and other design documents for new application development
- Work closely with the technical staff, QA and customer to ensure that developed functionality meets requirements
- Experience using an object-oriented methodology and object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD)
- At least 2 years experience with UML and writing Use Cases
- Experience with UML tools (Rational, etc...)
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical staff and convey complex ideas both verbally and in written form
- Superior presentation skills
- Ability to work at a detailed level while maintaining and retaining the 'big picture' of the overall system design
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills - needed in working with customers and various levels of staff
- Ability to translate business requirements into high-level and detailed functional specifications
- Business process modeling
