Data Analyst
Location: Chicagoland Area
Description: RiverPoint is seeking a Data Analyst with strong systems analysis experience who can work independently and coordinate activities of others. The successful candidate should have strong experience facilitating work sessions with business and IT and providing clear and concise documentation. The analyst will be required to make independent and assisted judgment calls regarding data quality. Basic programming skills are necessary to perform the role, but the ability to focus on details as well as having an overall perspective of the use of the data is pertinent to the role.
Required skills:
- Data Warehousing
- OLAP and/or analytical tools
- Business/System analysis
- Documentation
- Data mining and reporting
- Requirements gathering
- Conceptual data warehousing experience
- Meeting facilitation
Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Determine desired data elements for end-user, business unit analysis
- Determine source location of desired data
- Determine quality of extracted source data
- Design clean-up routines for extracted source data
- Design transformation routines for extracted source data
- Design overlay rules for extracted source data
- Determine history requirements for extracted source data
