J2EE Developer & Architect
Location: Chicagoland Area
Description: RiverPoint is looking for J2EE Developer consultants with excellent understanding of J2EE architecture. Requirements include hands-on experience in developing applications based on EJB, JSP and Servlets and hands-on experience with J2EE complaint application server (Oracle 9iAS, Web Logic, etc...)
Required Skills — Architects
- Providing hands-on technical leadership and direction to staff
- Architect, design, implementation and support of J2EE, Oracle/SQL Server and XML based system
- Provide project management for design and development activities
- Ability to demonstrate technical proficiencies in J2EE, XML/XSLT and Oracle (9i or 10g)/SQL Server
- Technical proficiencies in Web application frameworks
- Leadership and project management proficiencies
- Must be a good problem-solver
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required with the ability to work with all levels of management and technical personnel
Required Skills — J2EE Developers
- Minimum of 4-5 years of J2EE development experience
- Must have hands-on experience with J2EE technologies and know how to apply the appropriate technology given a problem set (JSP, Servlets, EJB, JMS, JTA, SAAJ, Web Services, SOAP, XML, JNDI, JDBC). Struts 1.1 and/or Java Server Faces (JSF) experience preferred
- Experience with Web logic, WebSphere and Tomcat
- Must have a solid understanding of OOD
- Must have the ability to prepare software development artifacts such as class, use case, sequence, state, and entity-relationship diagrams
- Must have Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and/or Oracle experience
- Must have strong SQL experience (with emphasis on queries/JDBC interaction and not as DBA. However, he/she should know the good database design patterns and concepts [referential integrity, primary keys vs. foreign keys, many-to-many relationships, indexes, normal forms, etc...])
- Must have experience using one or more open source tools and software platforms (Ant, Struts, Eclipse, Jboss, Tomcat, etc...)
- Must have used source control on one or more projects (CVS, Clearcase, etc...)
- Candidate must have a consultant mind-frame and strong customer interfacing experience
