Oracle Consultants (Oracle DBA, Developers & Analysts)

Location: Chicagoland Area

Description: RiverPoint is looking for Oracle Consultants with 3-7 years of Oracle application experience. Candidates need to have strong technical and functional skills, the ability to work with other team members and some management or lead experience in a development/support team.

Required Skills/Responsibilities — Oracle Analyst:

  • Lead requirement analysis efforts
  • Act as primary liaison between customer and IT project team
  • Review/analyze a business environment and work with customer to identify improvements
  • Elicit, document and manage business requirements and rules
  • Write use cases and other design documents for new application development
  • Work closely with the technical staff, QA and customer to ensure that developed functionality meets requirements
  • Experience using an object-oriented methodology and object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical staff and convey complex ideas both verbally and in written form

Required Skills/Responsibilities — Oracle Developer:

  • Strong analysis, design and client interaction skills
  • SQL, PL/SQL - stored procedures/packages/functions, etc...
  • PL/SQL Gateway
  • Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle RDBMS 8.1.7 or higher
  • Oracle Designer, Discoverer or Business Objects
  • Java experience is a plus
  • A complete understanding of database theory and exposure to the Oracle database
  • UNIX and shell scripting
  • Experience with the following: Use Case, Sequence, Class, Collaboration, Component and Deployment diagrams
  • Full lifecycle development experience

Required Skills/Responsibilities — Oracle DBA:

  • Strong performance analysis and troubleshooting skills
  • Operational Oracle DBA experience supporting development and test teams
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL, PL/SQL - stored procedures/packages/functions, etc..., Oracle RDBMS 8.1.7 or higher, Oracle Designer, Intermedia, Enterprise Manager and Change Management Pack
  • Experience with migration, upgrade and adopting new features
  • Develop, present and execute back-up and recovery strategies and tactical plans
