Project Manager
Location: Chicagoland Area
Description: RiverPoint is looking for an experienced Project Manager with 5-10 years of management experience to support application development projects from initiation through deployment.
Responsibilities and required skills will include:
- Prior experience bringing large scale/high impact projects to conclusion from a technical perspective. Strong communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full lifecycle project management experience, including planning, costing, management of resources and tracking progress, reporting and coordination of client and business resources.
- Coaching resources toward the methodology deliverables and project artifacts.
- Provide qualitative review of existing project plans and assist with bringing the plans to standards.
- Work with internal customer groups to identify end user needs and business practices, and then translate into functional requirements for implementation.
- Excellent business management skills in facilitating planning, review and design meetings. Ensure project deliverables are on time, within budget and meet or exceed client expectations.
- Work with development, infrastructure, business intelligence and application support staff to ensure successful implementation and support.
- Ability to lead a team of motivated individuals in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse/present to all levels of individuals - developers through executives.
Required Skills:
- Technical skills with current operating systems, Web-based environments, networking, SQL and programming environments.
- Proven project management methodology and Microsoft Project experience. Proven SDLC experience, including documentation deliverables.
- Oracle data warehousing/data marts, enterprise application roll-outs
- PMP certification is a big plus!
