Web Developer
Location: Chicagoland Area
Description: RiverPoint is seeking a Web Developer/Programmer with 3-7 years experience in development of Web applications and/or software. Candidate must be an excellent communicator and team member, professional and personable. Must be able to work well independently at a high level and handle pressure in a multi-tasking environment.
Required Skills:
- Maintain broker dealer Web site content and some graphic user interface (GUI) elements
- Responsible for working closely with marketing and operations staff to identify and interpret specific business needs requiring Web content updates and visual deliverables
- This will include working with business staff to summarize and revise written text into a Web-friendly format, as well as publishing the content to the Web site.
- Product development requires this individual to have some knowledge of Web-specific languages (HTML, Java Script), content and graphical creation/maintenance tools (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Paintshop, Adobe).
- Professionals are also involved in usability analysis and final release and integration of Web site updates
- Requires overall understanding of Web sites, including Web usability concepts
Technology Requirements:
- 2-3 years experience using Microsoft Dev Studio to do business applications
- XML/XSL projects especially within the context of Web-based business applications
- ASP.NET and the .NET Framework in developing Web-based business applications
- Developing dynamic server pages is required at least one year experience using these technologies in developing Web-based business applications
- SQL Server in developing Web-based business applications
