Application Administrator 7647S

Location: Overland Park, KS

Description: The selected Application Administrator will be responsible for providing production support for both database and applications. The role will include opening Web applications or SSIS Projects in Visual Studio to set breakpoints and determine errors, reading and managing IIS logs and configuring and troubleshooting systems.

What will be expected:

The selected candidate must have experience deploying and troubleshooting .NET based Web applications. He/she must be able to understand and tweak .NET Web.config settings and .NET machine.config settings and be very strong with using Visual Studio to debug and resolve production issues. Expertise with IIS 6.0/7.0 is also necessary. He/she also will be responsible for Oracle data systems and needs to be comfortable changing a PL/SQL statement or debugging error. Beyond technical skills, the selected Application Administrator will be interfacing with a number of different teams and be working on mission-critical, high availability systems, so he/she must be proactive, willing to adapt to changing priorities, able to manage competing demands and communicate effectively throughout the organization.
