Description: The ideal EDI candidate will be responsible for coordinating the conversion from a Gentran NT, EDI Direct System to a GIS, BizLink system. The position will be responsible for analyzing, designing, leading, developing, testing, and implementing the GIS solutions.
- Perform project lead responsibilities including project management, requirements gathering, system design, and process implementation.
- Evaluate, design, and implement interfaces between internal and external clients and internal applications
- Identify, design, implement, execute, and document new business processes and technical procedures
- Design, convert, test and implement translation maps and integration processes
- Configure and troubleshoot communication set-ups
- Create and execute unit and system test plans
What will be expected:
This position requires broad understanding of integration tools, business processes and technological components. The candidate must be able to use their strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to make business process recommendations, while navigating through a technical environment. He/she must be technically hands-on and proficient, as well as project and team lead capable. He/she will be expected to hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and have 2+ years experience with Data Translation Mapping and Systems including experience with Gentran Integration Suite (GIS) by Sterling Commerce. Preferred experience includes communication software BizLink by Inovis and Gentran NT. Any exposure to programming languages (Java, EJB, JSP, JavaScript, HTML, C,C++) and system analysis, design, and development using structured and object-oriented techniques is also a plus.
