Location: Overland Park, KS
Description: The selected software engineer position will play a key role in development and support of applications within the company's proprietary trading and risk analysis systems. Primary functions will include:
- Support existing internal trading and risk management applications
- Support development of new stand-alone applications and enhancement of existing applications
- Lead project to prepare complete system and user documentation for our proprietary pricing systems
- Assist in sourcing third-party data in support of business operations
- General hardware and software IT support (desktops, laptops, servers, network, and related applications)
What will be expected:
The selected candidate must have a significant amount of C# and SQL Server experience. Experience in Visual Studio and ASP is a big plus. There is a lot of statistical “heavy lifting” that will need to be done in this role, so someone with a very solid mathematical background is important and ideally, the candidate will understand the financial business, especially derivatives. He/she will need to be a highly motivated individual with a strong background in all levels of application design and development is required. He/she must have a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment where there is a commitment to delivering high quality products and meeting deadlines with minimal direct supervision.
