User Experience Architect 7609S

Location: Kansas City, MO

Description: This is a senior-level User Experience (UX) Architect role responsible for leading consumer research, strategy, information architecture development and interaction design to create positive interactions between people and the solutions created. He/she will generate, define and articulate the business requirements of clients, the behavioral and emotional desires of their customers and the context in which these two come together. Responsibilities

  • Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and conduct user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modeling, behavioral modeling, information architecture design, interaction design and user research.
  • Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, design details, and design rationale both verbally and visually.
  • Produce user requirements documentation, including personas, scenarios, wireframes, site maps, flowcharts and visual prototypes.
  • Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability tests and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Manage the design process, drive decisions, track issues and assist in estimating resource needs and schedules.
  • Work closely with technical development and creative teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented.
  • Participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes creative team members, project management, business and brand strategists, and technical developers.

What will be expected:

The selected candidate will have extensive experience in UX design and research experience, preferably in an agency environment. He/she will need to possess strong knowledge of interaction design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to Web-based applications and Web sites. This will include experience with design and prototyping tools such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, Visio, and Dreamweaver and knowledge of capabilities and limitations of Web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, Flash, Flex and CSS. He/she must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate and design iteratively with multi-disciplinary project and client teams and confidently handle multiple projects and manage project deliverables without supervision.
