Web Developer 7447S
Location: Overland Park, KS
Description: This selected Web developer will assist with management, development and implementation of internal and client enterprise applications. This position will be challenging, working for an Application Service Provider supporting a diverse set of platforms providing surface support for the data center and continual maintenance of existing Web applications. Responsibilities will include designing, programming, testing and debugging application and database architecture using common Web-based technologies and tools. The work environment is fast-paced and will involve working on and supporting several applications at any given time including Shopping Carts, Credit Card Integration, Online Newsletters, Client Content Management, Message Boards, Java Script Calculators and Form Submissions / Replies Charts. Other application tasks include Display Directory Files, Image / File Uploads, Calculation Scripts and Server Support / Management.
What will be expected:
The successful individual will need a minimum of 2 years direct experience in the general field of Web solutions using Active Server Pages/MSSQL and/or JSP/Servlets technologies on Windows/IIS servers. He/she must be fluent with Web 2.0 technologies, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and FTP. Plus skills would be experience with Unix (Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris) servers, Authorize.net, PayPal / FedEx / UPS integration, Flash Dbase Integration and Drop Down Menu Scripting. This role also requires moderate software architecture abilities so the Web developer must be a creative problem solver and learn fast. Beyond technical skills, this individual should be passionate about providing high-quality, elegant, and efficiently coded solutions for our clients. The individual must be able to professionally represent the firm, have strong oral and written communication skills, think creatively, and have a focused attention to detail. This candidate should also have a strong sense of urgency, the ability to problem solve independently, and a willingness to learn a diverse variety of skills.
