Enterprise Telecommunications Transport Architect
Location: Omaha, NE
Description: Successful candidate will possess advance knowledge of:
- Telecommunications architecture design techniques, theories, principles and practices
- Telecommunications engineering practices and procedures
- Company telecommunications systems and how they relate to client and internal customer needs
- Principles and practices of customer service
- Corporate and departmental policies
- Project planning, estimating and scheduling methods
- Design principles as related to system performance

Education:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Engineering, MIS or related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred. Equivalent work experience in similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
Certifications:
CCDA, CCDP, CCIE, Voice are preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of telecommunications engineering and design experience is required
- Minimum of 10 years of increasingly responsible experience in information technology is required with an emphasis in telecommunications industry is preferred
Technical Knowledge:
- Extensive technical knowledge in one or more disciplines:
- Area of transport infrastructure and deployment
- TDM delivery architecture
- Long Haul infrastructures
- VoIP Transport and Switching
- Session Border Controller
- Media Gateways
- Engineering, deploying and maintaining the infrastructure to support the complex telecom environment
- Extensive technical knowledge through experience in the telecommunications industry is required
- Skilled in at least one discipline that is considered to be at the level of subject matter expert is required
- Extensive experience in developing strategic telecommunications architecture plans is required
- Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis is required
- Proven experience in telecom and network design, testing and development is required
- Hands-on experience with telecommunications test tools is preferred
