Senior Avaya Telecom Engineer 6941
Location: Omaha, NE
Description: The Senior Avaya Telecom Engineer is responsible for strategically designing, testing, and implementing transport and tandem switching telecommunications systems that support core organizational functions. Ensuring their high availability while remaining consistent with the organizations corporate policies is also key to supporting the future Avaya Telecom needs of the business, it's team members, partners and stakeholders. This role is also essential to planning work flow recommendations, mentoring other Avaya team members. The incumbent will also manage, maintain and test all existing and future telecom transport systems to ensure the reliability and integrity of these essential systems.
What is expected:
3 years of Avaya Engineering experience is required for this position, as well as 3 years of VOIP experience in a large company environment. An Associate's degree in telecommunications/ electronics or related field required is preferred for this position. Extensive experience with Avaya delivery architecture, VOIP Transport and Switching, are also required. Hands-on Avaya engineering solutions, design, project management, building and implantation experience is a must.
