Web/Database Developer 7454
Location: Omaha, NE
Description: Our client needs a Web/Database Developer for one of their divisional teams. The right candidate will be a key member developing leading edge, Web-based software solutions in ASP.NET and C# technologies. These products include real-time information and transaction management services such as real-time credit, product and order authorization, as well as inventory support to help manage credit limits and allocations. You will also be responsible for working on select Oracle redesign and maintenance projects, implement stored procedures and functions using PL/SQL and logical and physical data modeling.
Functions:
- Develop Web pages using ASP.NET and C#
- Implement client-side scripts in JavaScript
- Design Web pages using HTML
- Develop middleware objects using C#
- Analyze customer requirements and develop Software Requirements Specifications
- Implement stored procedures, functions, etc... using Oracle PL/SQL
- Work independently on select database redesign and maintenance projects
Qualifications:
- College degree in Information Technology, related field or work experience equivalent is required
- 5+ years experience in application development is a must have
- Guru status in the following required: ASP.NET, C#, Visual Studio
- Experience with data access layers (ADO.NET, JDBC, etc) is highly needed
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in one of the following: Oracle 8i, 9i or 10g required
- PL/SQL development experience is required
- Experience in JavaScript and HTML required
- Must have experience developing Web Services
- Experience with AJAX is nice to have
- Good Logical and Physical data modeling experience required
- Ability to support and assist the team in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications required
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies in a fairly short time
- Team player
- Good communication skills are desired
